We are happy to present the first TEPSA policy brief of 2022 “Challenges of Enlargement in the Western Balkans”, written by Danijela Jaćimović, Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro, Joel I. Deichmann, Professor of Economic Geography at Bentley University and Kong Tianping, Senior Research Fellow of the Institute of European Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The best student from the Faculty of Economics for 2020/21 school year, Dženana Đurković, was awarded the University award this past month,  was a guest on the Morning Show on the Montenegrin national TV channel - Radio Television Montenegro (RTCG), on December 13, 2021.

At the University of Montenegro, on November 24, the coordinators of 24 Erasmus + projects presented the implemented activities and concrete results that resulted from projects for the benefit of not only faculties, but also local communities and Montenegrin society, presenting experiences from cooperation with international partners. One of the projects presented during the meeting was Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence from the Faculty of Economics.

Professor Danijela Jacimovic, Jean Monnet project coordinator and DART research affiliated Scholar, gave a lecture titled "The EU, China, and the Western Balkans: The Challenges and Prospects of Further Integration". 

The seminar was organized by Bentley University (Waltham, Massachusets) on Thursday, November 18 at  6.30 pm (CET) and moderated by professor Joel Deichmann.

Professor Danijela Jacimovic spoke on the RTCG morning show on Friday, November 12, about the Budget and the economic perspectives in 2022.

Danijela Jaćimović, a professor at the Faculty of Economics, assessed that the Draft Budget for 2022 was ambitiously designed, and that it followed all the recommendations of international institutions and the European Union. The challenges, she says, are numerous, because the pandemics are still going on, and new crises are possible in the next year.
