After the lecture, students engaged in a Q&A session. This topic sparked special interest, taking into account that Montenegro, as a candidate country, is a small country, and students wanted to understand the position of other, smaller, countries in the EU. Several questions which were discussed were:

  • How do smaller states cooperate with one another inside the European Union to accomplish shared objectives?
  • How have small EU states navigated their relationship with larger EU member states, particularly in the context of the ongoing debates around deepening EU integration?
  • What are some examples of successful small EU member states that have had a significant impact on EU policy-making?
