On Tuesday, March 15, professor Mojmir Mrak from the School of Economic and Business, University of Ljubljana gave a lecture titled „Euro-area governance: past developments, recent trends and perspectives“. The lecture was held online, at 5 pm, to students from the Master program at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Economics, enrolled in two courses: Globalization and Economic Policy (course led by professor Danijela Jaćimović) and Single Market and the EU Competition Policy (course led by professor Nikola Milović).

In his lecture, professor Mrak explained the concept of EU/Euro area economic governance, and focused specifically on two time periods: the time before the global financial crisis, and, on the other hand, post-crisis period, which was characterized by the reform of governance. Additionally, professor Mrak provided insight on of EU/Euro area during the Covid-19 pandemic and proposed several ideas for going forward.
