Professor Kong Tianping, from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, gave an online guest lecture, titled “Global Changes and Relations between China and the West Balkans” on May 4, 2023, at 12.30 pm for the students enrolled at the International Economics course at the Faculty of Economics, University of Montenegro.

Professor Kong highlighted various factors that are unique to Western Balkan studies, such as bilateral interactions and China-CEEC connections, in his lecture. The second component supplements bilateral connections by taking into consideration the so-called 17+1 framework, to which the Western Balkan nations belong. Professor Kong added that China supports European integrations and that the objectives of all three organizations - the Western Balkans, the EU, and China - are compatible.
