Professor Kong Tianping, from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences held an online guest lecture on April 13, 2023 at 12.30 pm. The students currently enrolled in the undergraduate program at the Faculty of Economics, University of Montenegro, had the opportunity to take part in the lecture titled „Economic Transition in Central and Eastern Europe: Lessons and Reflection”.

Prof. Kong covered the initial circumstances of the Central and Eastern European nations' economic transformation, the objective model of the transition, the transition strategy, and the economic transition's development in his lecture. Also, he discussed some of the lessons that might be learned from the economic change that has occurred in Central and Eastern Europe. The shock treatment and gradualism transition techniques for Central and Eastern Europe were discussed, along with the stabilization, liberalization, privatization, and institution-building components of the economic change.

The second lecture by prof. Kong will be held on May 4, 2023.
