Emeritus professor of European Union Law from the Erasmus University Rotterdam gave a first guest lecture to students from University Donja Gorica on Monday, October 17.
This was the first guest lecture that was held in-person, after the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was very successful. Even though the lecture was organized for the students at University Donja Gorica, students from Faculty of Economics, University of Montenegro were taking part online, via Zoom platform.
The title of the guest lecture was “The requirements for accession to the European Union” and professor de Zwaan particularly paid attention to the position of Montenegro in regards to the EU, while also covering the general topic of application for membership and enlargement. Professor de Zwaan finished the lecture by highlighting that accession is a very long process, but, that there are opportunities for cooperation in areas of common interest.
